Election day in Ohio

It was a gorgeous sunset today in Ohio as we re-elected President Obama for a second term.  The beauty of the sunset reminds us that we are all Americans, we are all citizens of the world and so let’s work together and make it a better planet.

  1. Seeing these pictures, especially the beautifully weathered wood fences, makes me want to write a pastoral piece. Absolutely gorgeous!

  2. A new dawn of hope
    A continuation of progress
    Joining hearts and head
    Everyone looking ahead
We, got spring of hope in the month of autumn
We see clouds float, but will get sunshine in moments
We got broken fences, old homes, new hopes
the river, the sky, bare trunk of trees, falling leaves.
Sunset has arrived, we got to strive for another day
May God Bless, us day after day after days..amen

  3. Seth, thanks for the “like” to Under Western Skies. Congrats on your photography. Although a Californian now, I’m a native of Lebanon, OH, and spent many happy days canoeing and hiking the Little Miami valley.

  4. All of the photos are so pretty. Wonderful scenes of the countryside. Like the one with the wooden fencing and the road going to the gate. Some of those scenes would be so nice as a painting.

  5. Wow, you surely know how to capture beauty. I think Blue is my favourite, I just love the composition in it. Everytime I see your photos I feel inspired. Might just have to write a piece about them one day. :p

  6. Oh, i missed this post earlier. Glad i re-checked these were too good to have been missed. My fav is the 3rd one. The tree and the sky look amazingly beautiful. Great captures.

  7. Great photos. I especially like the one of the old house. I was in Ohio a few weeks ago and was amazed at how beautiful it is in the Autumn with the changing colors of the leaves.

  8. Thank you for Obama, Ohio. The world thanks you. I wonder if he had anything to do with the beauty of that Fall day you captured so well.
