One of our Caribbean stops was to the island of St. Maarten. We landed on the Dutch side and took a ride over to a famous beach on the French side. It’s a beautiful island filled with lovely people, wonderful fauna and magnificent blue skies and ocean.

yes, you must visit SoBe, you can surely get some great shots there.
Some nice images here, a place I have on my bucket list
Yes, it’s a nice place. Thanks.
I certainly wouldn’t mind retiring there when the time comes …
Me neither! Shall we make a plan then? 🙂
LOL. Sure! Meet you in 2017!
Wow your colours are intense! What are you using to photograph and process?
These are from my Canon point and shoot camera. So nothing special.
Amazing color.
Your photos make me want to revisit the islands… 🙂
Thanks R B
One of the most beautiful places I’ve ever traveled to. I plan to go back when I retire in a few years and spend an entire month there. I love the Caribbean. Thanks for the beautiful photos.
Wow, an entire month. When are we going? 😉
Oh honey I can’t retire for 6 more years. But I promise to send you an invite. Giggle.
I’ll be waiting. 🙂
😉
Beautiful, I’m enjoying my virtual tour of the Caribbean
Glad to help! Thanks. 🙂
I forgot how beautiful it was there – thank you for the reminder!! I took my daughters to St. Maarten to celebrate when I got my MS degree and we had a great time!!
It’s awesome there.
took the liberty to share your pictures, man. hope you don’t mind 🙂
Hi Sethsnap,
What beautiful destinations! I have been enjoying your cruise photos. I have never been on a cruise. Maybe one day ;).
Cheers!
yes, you should go. they are inexpensive.
Their flag is almost similar to our philippine flag except the signia on the white part of the flag. Our flag has blue on top and red at the bottom.
Philippines also boasts white sands such as that of Boracay.
Yes. I’ve been to your country. My parents actually go there or relief work several times a year. Lovely people!
Love the cotton candy sky! I want to visit St. Maarten!!
It’s a nice place. There is a lot of poverty though. Which is sad. But there are some fabulous places.
Unreal beauty!
Yes, it’s great there. Thanks!!
Reblogged this on NIEUWS▪CORP.
I love the colors in these photos!
The sky was amazing.
I SOOOO LOVE YOUR PICTURES
Thanks. You made me happy.
Love the picture of the pink sky because it picks up the colors of the pink houses and other rainbow-esque dwellings! Thanks for sharing! http://ohtheplaceswesee.com
Welcome Rusha. Glad you like them.
Great place to visit. I visited the island while on a cruise. Fabulous beaches!
Yes, agreed. 🙂 We were on a cruise too.
It was a whirlwind tour, but a good what at that.
That looks sooo beautiful! 😀
Thanks so much wolke205. Glad you like them.
Oh, yeah. I could retire there.
🙂 Who couldn’t Jeff? 😉
Have never had any wish to … visit the West Indians – but your photos start to turn me around a bit.
There are some very beautiful islands in the Caribbean.
The thing is that … I have been to the French Polynesia and after 2-3 days all islands look the same, beautiful and pretty – that is why I never really liked the idea of the Caribbean.
Your photo have changed a bit for me.
Well there are some islands that are similar. However, there are many unique islands. For example, Grenada is tropical and has many types of spices grown there. It was one of our favorite islands. Aruba, Bonaire and Curaco are all dry like a desert and have great back country adventures. In fact, part of Aruba look like you are on the moon. There are many other interesting places. So it’s not just beaches.
Thanks for coming back to me … French Polynesia was so much a like – so it became boring and it’s not the most friendly places neither, I think it’s because they are French. Glad I was working. *smile
I love how the colours of the sky in the first photo match the colours of the buildings. Gorgeous!
Thank Dieu
This has nothing to do with the post, Seth. (Referring to mail) I’m just trying to find a solution to my problems, and I think I may have stumbled upon something. Crossing my fingers and pressing ‘send’
Weeeeeeeeeh ! It worked! Now I can really start working – I think! 😀
