About Seth Snap.

Seth Snap is a blog about the beauty I see in my everyday world.  I want my work to show that by stopping and paying attention to my surroundings, I discover amazing things.  I hope that my photos inspire others to do the same.  I devote a great deal of my time to landscape, nature and wildlife as I live in a rural area.  But, don’t let that fool you, I also enjoy city and street scenes, and of course people.  I’m not quite sure exactly what spurred me into my love of photography.  Probably my mom has influenced me the most.  She has always enjoyed snapping moments.

I have my B.A. in History and French from The University of Mississippi(a.k.a Ole Miss) and my J.D. from The University of Dayton.  I currently work in Legal Research.  I also teach a few classes a year as an adjunct at a local university.  I have a partner of twelve years, Todd, two children, I mean dogs, Baylee and Jackson, and two cats, Whimble and Franklin.  I’ve lived in the Cincinnati area since 1999.  Prior to that, I lived in NYC for a couple of years.  I was born and raised in the deep south. I am an avid Ole Miss fan.  I also enjoy music and travel.

  1. I hope you don’t mind, but I have nominated you for something called the Reality Blogger Award. I know next to nothing about it, and there is a certain whiff of the chain letter about it, so I won’t be offended if you do not want to take part (see the deal here: http://thirstymurphy.wordpress.com/2013/01/08/reality-bloger-award-the-positivity-ponzi/). However, I am participating because, as far as I can tell, it is simply a means of bigging up bloggers you like, which can’t be a bad thing. Even if you don’t want participate in the whole spreading-it business, which I would totally understand, this is just to let you know how much I enjoy your blog. Keep up the good work.

    • Eric— of course I don’t mind. And I know what you are saying about getting hits for your blog. 🙂 Thanks, that’s very nice of you and I do feel honored.

  2. Thank you for liking a couple of my posts, Seth. I love how crisp and clean your photos are. Keep it up 🙂

  3. You had me at the first sentence of your about me, but you kept me when I found out you are a fellow JD with a legal research background exploring your creative side! Thanks for looking at my blog, thus leading me to yours. I look forward to seeing more of your creations.

  4. LOVELY PHOTOGRAPHS…and a big thank you for visiting By the Mighty Mumford. I resemble “POSITIVELY PUDGY” and I do like crunching ice underfoot as long as I don’t slip and fall on/in the stuff.

  5. Thankyou seth you are the very first person for my new posts in my blog to like and thank you very much for stopping and liking my posts once again…….

  6. Thanks Seth, you might prefer my other blog which has a similar ethos to yours. I don’t mean to crassly push my own stuff but it is a striking crossover although I don’t really use pics (www.walkinginacircle.wordpress.com).

  7. Great blog. The main pic is stunning; the yellow tones leap out and are beautiful. Love the night shots too. Thanks for visiting and liking my post.

  8. Good stuff. Love your photos, appreciate you liking my post “The Untold History,” and for checking out my blog. Btw, upon graduation from college, I spent a week alone at Ole Miss. Changed my life. Best wishes and thanks again

    • Joe— What were you doing at Ole Miss? I miss Oxford. I havent been there in a few years. I used to go to one or two games a year but with my work, I haven’t been able to make it down there.

  9. Hi Seth. Thank you so much for reading my blog and showing an interest. Mine started as a journal that I would have a much harder time losing than the moleskins I prefer. Having other people read and show interest has been spurring me on to write more and hopefully more often. Thank you again.

  10. Thank you very much for the follow, it means a lot to me that you keep reading and returning. People like you are why I continue to write, and it is very encouraging to see that you have liked some of the pieces that I am most proud of,
    Once again, thank you.

  16. Got you beat. Twenty three years partnered, two grown human kids and three dogs! Congrats to you, your family and work. I’m writing to you deep on the Auvergne from a snowy hilltop town of more goats than people!

  17. I like your pictures, and your thought about seeing the beautiful things in everyday life!! That’s the whole point of life I think! Thank you for sharing your pictures 🙂

  18. I nominated you for the Versatile Blogger award. I love your photography and I want more people to see it. You can see the details on my blog. 🙂

  19. Great pics. The woman who lets me call myself her husband is a clicker…just started a blog site…shimmyshark is her site name, I think. She’s good, but not as accomplished as yourself.

  20. Thanks for stopping by my blog and giving me the opportunity to see your photography. I’m now a happy follower. Keep taking those gorgeous snaps! 🙂
