Thoughts of the old place

Taken on our 2015 cruise through Italy, Turkey and Greece. The church built on the ruins of an old castle sits proudly overlooking the city of Messina.

High on a hill the remains of the old castle sits with a church forged on top. It’s been around for so long, it has surely seen everything.  People come and go.  The clothes change but the people, their actions, their words, are the same.  The trees haven’t changed in centuries. They are quiet observers.  The status quo continues. But wait, what is that?  Something new. Something fresh.  It stirs emotions, thoughts and feelings.  If you look close enough, you can just make out the reflections of new ideas emulating from below.
