Yes the Camelopardalids was a let down last night, if all you were looking for was a meteor shower. But, from my vantage point, the “normal” sky was equally as spectacular as any meteor shower. This is my view from my parents backyard near Huntsville, Alabama. (I was down visiting for my niece’s high school graduation).

I saw the back of my eyelids. It was a long day yesterday to be sitting outside, in the dark, laying back looking at the pretty sky.

Gorgeous night skies, here in California, for the last days. First, amazing sunsets since we got a couple of cooler days. Then, lots and lots of stars. I will be in Yosemite all day tomorrow and will catch a spectacular sunup and sunset and hopefully a meteor shower later on.
