This has been a brutal winter. The coldest and snowiest since I’ve lived up here. But, this week the temperatures are rising. It might hit sixty degrees they say. It’s time to say goodbye to the snow, for now. I am sure this momentary heat wave will fade and the cold and snow will creep back in.
Thank you for the beauty!
Thanks Sarah!
Love your captions! Yes, the winter has been brutal in Missouri, too. There have been days I considered myself a candidate for the loony bin. The snow and ice are starting to melt over here. You’re blog’s exceptionally nice today. Thanks.
Yes, yes, yes. The loony bin. You and I can be admitted together. I think I became unemployed at the worst time. It was below zero and I was stuck at home. 🙂
I find such beauty in your stark images. all of your images but as a person that loves winter and snow living in a mild climate, your shots resonate. thank you for always sharing
Thanks for your comment. Glad I can bring a bit of snow to you. I like snow too. I am just not a fan of the bitter cold.
My favorite is one with the white horse! You have captured great images! And thank goodness winter is coming to an end.
Thanks MayZ
That was funny. I thought I was the only one who knew those songs?
I don’t know why I thought of all of these but they just came to me for some reason. 🙂
Beautiful photos – love the subtle colours. Hopefully we are going to start seeing a bit less wind and rain here in the UK. No snow in South Wales at all!
Yeah it’s been a warm winter I hear over there.
In my garden already the snowdrops bloom.
In the region of Middle Franconia, the state of Bavaria, Germany, there was no winter this year. Almost no snow, temperatures around the freezing point. Last weekend, temperatures were at 10 degrees.
But the news was reported on the snow chaos in some states in the United States. Hope it is better soon. But I think you will have a fantastic spring after this harsh winter. (translated by Google 🙂 )
Very nice, partly melancholy images.
Thanks Gunslinger. Bavaria is beautiful. I need to come back over there and do a photo tour. 🙂
This is a very good idea 🙂
Sweet Mr. Seth it is always a treat to look at your photographs!! Awesome awesome! Hugz Lisa and Bear
Thanks Lisa and Bear. 🙂 I am always uplifted by your kind comments.
Glad to read that the temperatures are warming up. You guys had it really bad this year. But the photos, I must say, have been more beautiful than ever.
Merci très beaucoup. 🙂 Tes(tons?) mots sont très sympa. 🙂
I’m feeling the same way Seth! Snowiest winter in a very long time and I am done with it!
Your pics are great though. 🙂 This things are on patterns usually. I’m thinking we might have slipped into a “cold” zone.
We reached 65F here in Kansas City today. Most of the remaining foot+ of snow has melted. I’m so done with winter, but I hear the snow is supposed to start back up this coming weekend…
Is it? I think we get it about one-to two days after you. 🙂
I can’t even imagine having that much snow on the ground, and while I hate snow you make it seem wonderful and magical. Your photos are truly inspiring.
Thank you. 🙂
Your photos are always like slices of magic and I love your captions as well.
That’s awesome “slices of magic” You made my day. Thank you.
Glad there is a little bit of warmth coming. We look at your February calendar photo and remember how cold it is for you.
Indeed. 🙂 I need you to send a bit of your weather our way. 🙂
Reblogged this on surajacharya.

Stunning as always!
Thanks Kami.
Love that first picture and the contrast between that dark tree and the snow. Great work!

Love the last shot…for some reason it makes me want winter to hang around longer.
