One of the beautiful American birds is the American Cardinal. Named after the Catholic cardinal’s red attire, this bird is full of swagger and attitude. The cardinal can be seen in these parts year round, hopping from tree to tree. Down a country road, one sees red flying flashes as hundreds and these birds jump from road to fence posts, keeping a close eye as you drive by. While out at one of Hamilton County’s(Cincinnati) parks, Todd and I spotted this group of cardinals, enjoying a nice Sunday brunch.

Beautiful! I really love Cardinals. We don’t have them in Colorado, and I really miss them. I used to live in the south and they are so beautiful.
None in Co? I saw one online from AZ.
We rarely see cardinals, if ever, in Colorado. My dad saw them when he was growing up in the 1930s.
Didn’t know that. Wonder why?
Beautiful!
Thanks Ellen.
