Let’s take a quick break from the awesomeness that is Cincinnati and enjoy a few tennis shots from the Western & Southern Open in Mason, Ohio. Each year, all the tennis stars come to these parts to swat it out. Todd and I spent a few hours last weekend enjoying a couple of qualifier rounds.
You must have had a nice time enjoying these qualifier rounds. The lovely shots can speak for themselves.
Beautiful post. I like the Tennis break! 🙂
Thanks. :)..s
Wow, great shots …. not easy to take photos of sport in action. Not many spectators ???? How come ????
Because it was early morning qualifiers and they have lots of activities inside the complex. They have several courts. It’s full when the big dogs play.
Okay, understandable – I love tennis …. great sport to watch – we had some great players too through the years that made it even more exciting to watch.
Yes, we always miss the good ones. Tennis is great to watch in person. 🙂
I think the time when Björn Borg was playing there was some fantastic players … tennis was pure entertainment those days. Today is just the sport .. not much else happens on the court.
After effect.- is my pick of this great bunch.
Thanks Viveka.
Really like the first shot – great action!
Thank you. :)..
Ace shots, Seth 😉
Thanks Gallivanta.
Very nice pictures.
Thank you.
That was fun! I enjoy watching tennis. Cute to me that you made a black and white of the girl hiitting with tiny little orange shoes inconsp icuous at the base of the picture.
Ha. Thanks Donna. 🙂
Great photos – I have been watching from the comfort of my den at Casa de Canterbury with The Red Man and his pack. We love tennis!! Alas, we have to rely on our photos via our television so we much prefer the shots of your actually being there!! 🙂
Thanks Sheila. Tennis is fun!
P.S. Like your new look on the blog, too!!
Thanks!
Nice change 🙂
Thanks. 🙂 I’ve got plenty more photos of Cincinnati coming up soon.
Enjoy your diverse photographic talent, Seth. Landscapes and athletes in motion. Excellent!
Thanks MikeW. 🙂
Fantastic shots!
Thanks so much. 🙂
My favorite is the third from the bottom. The way the racket aligned with the logo in the background it made for a nice effect, kind of like you caught the motion and the swishing effect. These photos are really awesome, looks like they were plucked off espn!
Thanks Tasha.
Tennis! My kind of game! I can’t wield a racquet too well, but I can follow that ball! Nice shots! I like that very first stretch!
Thanks! You like fetch dont you? 😉
yes indeed! In a BIG way!
Anita and I watched a fair amount of the Toronto Rogers Cup. She owns one season ticket and our youngest daughter owns the one beside it. Being cheeky, I went down and sat in the photographers’ area with my little Sony NEX 5N and its 55-205? zoom during a fairly quiet moment. Got some fun shots. Only one other photographer there at the time. Sloane Stephens was playing Berthel, I think. Watched Serena demolish Cirstea in the final. The Romanian fans were a hoot!
Nice. 🙂 Sounds like fun. I’m not as cheeky as you. I usually get caught if I try to be. I am not hard to miss.
Enjoyed your photos with captions. I found it hard not to give myself away on the photographer’s bench by clapping!
