What’s your fancy? Bird Silhouette

In this edition of What’s your fancy?, I’ve taken a basic silhouette of two birds on a fence and added various colors to enhance the photo.

Setup

I took this shot with my Nikon D5200 and used a 55mm-300mm Nikkor lens.  The shutter was set at 1/2000 and the ISO at 400. The shot was taken on a walk in my neighborhood.

Post shot editing

I used FX Photo Studio 2.7 to add color and theme filters.  No other editing was done.

So what’s your fancy?

  1. The straight up blue keeps the crispness of edge, unlike the others. It has a comic book feel. The shades of pink and purple has more depth than the others, with a sharpness to the cat.

  2. As always, great photo’s but I saw the first one when I logged on and love, love, love it! Congratulations on your talent and skill.

  3. Shades of pink and purple… Seth what camera do you use? I’m getting an entry level DSLR Nikon D3000. hopefully I can master the art of photography 🙂

  4. I like shades of blue and shades of pink and purple – they are so romantic – and suggestive of sunset and sunrise, some of the best times of day 🙂

  5. Shades of pink and purple meets my eye. Also the symbolism of a sulking (hope that´s the correct word) couple (their backs being turned to each others) says that love (pink) and consciousness (purple) heal. 😀 (Shades of blue meets my eye second best)
