Roger and the peeping tom

Roger the cardinal was enjoying his early afternoon banter with friend Johan when he noticed something strange.  It was an odd looking bird, a quite large bird, a big bird.  And this big bird was snapping pictures of him.  “How dare he.” Thought Roger.  If Roger were a big bird himself, he might have flogged this peeping tom.  But, alas, he is a small, though quite handsome, flyer.  And with that thought, he flew away.

  1. Gorgeous! I’ve been seeing some cardinals around here in Austin, too. Thanks for sharing (:

  2. Love your blog Seth. Do a lot of hiking in the desert. Appreciate the patience it takes to get pics the quality of yours.

  3. I love that you have a cardinal named Roger. We have a large hawk that lives in our field that we’ve named Roger. 🙂 (The cardinals are still unnamed — they haven’t “shared” that with us yet).

  4. I can never get the birds to sit still for me. Whenever I go to take the picture, they fly away! Great job what a beautiful bird.

  5. We have lots of cardinals here. I don’t know what their names are. But I like watching the baby ones when they first come out of their nests. I’m not very good with a camera though. It’s nice that you share your world.
