The snow is gone. It melted away today right in front of my eyes. It was here only a moment and now it has seeped back into the earth. Goodbye snow. I’ll see you again next winter.

One of the reasons I moved from Cincinnati to California is I am not a big fan of snow but looking at your wonderful pictures makes me wonder if I made the right decision. What do you think?

Well, you made the right decision. San Diego has perfect weather year round and you can always come back here to visit family and see snow.

I live in California, but I grew up in Montana and Wyoming. I miss the winters. However, I don’t miss the downside of cold weather–like shoveling the snow off your driveway before you can back out of the garage. These photos take me back to my best memories of the upside of cold weather–lovely, snowy images that are so clear I almost feel I am back there.

I haven’t seen snow here in the Southeast in awhile….I miss it. Thank you for transporting me to a “real” winter with these stunning photographs.
Where in the Southeast? I grew up in Tennessee, near the AL border. Went to Ole Miss.
Eastern NC about 40 minutes from coast. We get PLENTY of rain, rarely snow. Winters here are so boring, we’re usually in short sleeves at Christmas!
The snow, the winter, returned yesterday in force, here in Berlin. Our 3day ‘dance of spring’ is over: -5 and dropping towards -12 in the next 4days. Don’t think it’s done with you Seth. Where is California?
