The sun made a grand entrance this morning with streamers of red, purple, yellow and orange. Even the morning frost looked inviting and welcoming as the sun’s rays moved across the fields. The sky missing its old and close friend sent the clouds on a much needed vacation. The big ole tree in the field across the way looked majestic as the vibrant colors flooded through its bare limbs. It’s as if it had grown a full set of colorful leaves overnight. Welcome back sun. Please stay a bit.
Send some sun this way, its so COLD today and winter clouds looming about.
We just sent the clouds on vacation there.
Beautiful photographs, as always.
Thanks Vee.
Great snaps! Colors are rich, and it does look like fire on the horizon. It was sunny here briefly… Back to clouds and grey…
Thanks John.
Just lovely! Especially ‘Solitary morning’
Thanks. 🙂
Very beautiful! I like the look of PhotoShelter too – must take a look into it.
Yes you should! Thanks.
Hello, sunrise!
By the way, your cover photo is *gorgeous.* Taken on a farm just outside the border of Rivendell, I presume?
Yes of course. 🙂 Thanks!

Thanks Heather.
Beautiful photos, and I love the sentiments you expressed. I, too, was delighted this morning to welcome back the sun after days of clouds and general dreariness.
Thanks! It’s good to see the sun again.
Spending my winters in Canada, I can really appreciate when the sun comes out in the winter! Beautiful photos.
Thanks Diane.

I’m not going to say .. what a fantastic selection of photos again – Country morning, my favorite – because I love mornings that is apricot and you only get them on cold winter mornings.
Thanks viveka. 🙂 There is something about cold winter mornings.
Yes, it really is … but there is the beautiful one .. with he sun .. and the overcast that is so bitter … welcome to mine tomorrow. Have a great weekend, if I haven’t said before.
A gorgeous start to the day and the weekend.
Thanks David.
Wow, wonderful pictures! My personal favourite “The sun slowly waking up” 🙂
Thanks so much. 🙂 I was freezing with my tripod out this morning for that shot.
Beautiful sun pictures!! The colors are amazing — so rich and vibrant. I think the very first one is my favorite.
Thanks so much. 🙂 >>
Your picture titles are all so clever! Beautiful photos. And, yes, welcome back sun!
Thanks Jessica.
Totally love “Colors Intertwined” and “Country Morning”.
Thanks Elizabeth. 🙂
I was so glad to see the sun come back out again today. It will probably be grey again tomorrow 🙂
Hopefully not here. I think we will have to sun for a few days and also bitter cold.
Keeping my fingers crossed for a few days of sun. We’re having semi-warm days and cold nights right now…. the weather is so weird lately.
It looked like it was a beautiful winter’s day. The kind of winter day I love…no snow, but crispy frost and a bright sun.
I kind of like the snow when it’s cold. 🙂
After eight straight days of rain in the North Georgia Mountains, we saw sunshine today. How beautiful it is!
Thanks Barbara.
Ain’t nothing wrong with that…hey, you’ve inspired me to take artistic shots of my office building today, with my iPhone 4. Wish me luck…’course the fog makes anything look “heavy.” 🙂 – Bill
Thanks Bill!
Really nice set of photographs. I really liked solitary morning.
Thanks! Glad you like that one. 🙂
Lovely photos …
I couldn’t tell you the last time I was up early enough to watch the sunrise….
Thanks John. It was early and I was cold! 🙂
I love the second one the best. The glow that the street light gives off and the frozen pond. I guess I like to see the street perspective and the glimpse of where you are. Cool.
👍👍thanks.
The winter sunrise is beautifully mellow, giving a promise of warmth.
Thanks so much. 🙂 🙂
Very beautiful Seth! Thank you for taking the time to get up extra early and set up to take these gorgeous captures. A lot of love and work within these.
welcome. 🙂
wonderful!!!
…Thx….
Beautiful photos!
….Thanks….
The first snap of the Ohio sunrise is breathtaking! The dark silhouette of the tree against the ombre background is absolutely gorgeous! You’ve certainly added a big serving of beauty into my day today! And thank you for liking my blog post! I’m only new to WordPress, but so far, I feel there’s a much better sense of community than at Blogspot!
Thanks so much Little Miss Ling.
These shots are amazing, very inspiring!
