Today was a blah day in Ohio. It rained, rained and rained some more. The sky was a dull grey. Not even the storms could muster up anything interesting and exciting. But, upon closer look, it was a beautiful day non the less. The wet leaves of the evergreens seemed to sparkle while moving in unison with the wind. The barren trees also had a bit of sparkle from the drips of rain that hung on to each limb for dear life. The river seemed pleased at its new found strength. The empty deserted fields seemed to be happy, cleaned after a good shower. And the old tree, seemed to sing out in praise for it’s last bit of water before the long hard freeze.

Come on and visit. Thanks Johnny.
We get days like that here at this time of the year….but what a great description in two words a ‘Blah Day’. I hope you haven’t copyrighted it as I might just use it sometime! Best wishes
Thanks David.
So beautiful, I love photos of the countryside and landscapes 🙂
Thanks squnches.
Beautiful, indeed.

I love how colour isolation defines details in such a unique way that it can change the whole mood of the shot. Beautiful . My fav is ‘wet fingers’. It has an almost abstract quality that is intriguing.
Thanks so much. I am glad you see that! 🙂
Absolutely gorgeous! Love the bit of red 🙂
I was walking out of my house and in the bush next to my door was this single little red leaf neatly tucked between the branches.
Beautiful shots! Reminds me of winter in Kentucky…got a little homesick looking at these.
Thanks. Well it should, I as I live about 30 miles north of the border. 🙂
grey and dull, gives a lull makes us feel..the silent peace, and as it flows the rain overflow..over the land and river, finally it ends and we find small last droplets falling lastly from the branches of tree, colors appear in bits..red and green with blue as a backdrop by the sky, that is clear to see..
Beautiful as usual! Love your comments.
thank you
bit of red…a knockout! Great shots!
Thanks so much. :)E

Thanks for liking my last post! You have some stunning pictures here.
Thanks. Glad you returned the visit.
Wow! Bit of red! Pops so much. I love bleak days like those. They empower us to slow down and see things we mightn’t otherwise.
Very true and it’s another one of those days here today.
take more pics!
here it’s going to be 65 and sunny. but that’s normal right? i mean, it’s only December… NnnnNn.
My fav is the river pic. i just want to jump into the picture!
Thanks. It’s called the Little Miami River.
I love the tree photos. They look like a bit of album artwork or something.
Thanks sweetsound.
I like all of them, but the Yellow with Age is really nice! Not blah, that must have just been the weather.. LOL Lovely pictures…
Thanks Keli.
I love the river photo…that bend going around to? All great shots. Nothing blah here!
Thanks Angeline.
Wonderful photos. I was driving up the highway this morning, and the lighting was very interesting, it was grey, sunny and foggy all at the same time. Wishing I had my camera and attempted to try to capture the light. Looking at your photo’s I can see the potential in a grey day, next time I hope I have my camera.
Yes. I always have my camera with me.
Hi Seth,
What a poet you are at heart :).
Each day has the potential for beauty and joy through the little things.
I am loving the dashes of color and the lines drawn by needles, leaves or branches. Simple beauty.
Happy Monday.
😊Thx xpat
I love rainy days which is a good thing here in the northwest, so your gray photos make me smile. Since the work you do is so beautiful, I get to smile twice at these. I particularly like the magical tree. Thank you for a lovely start to the week.
You are welcome. Thanks. 😙
Love the last one.
That’s my magic tree.
The love the late fall when its all bare trees, grey, stark. To me its stirring, inspiring.
Yes it is to me as we’ll. thanks.
Beautiful set – gray mixed with color.
Thanks David.
These are very good. It appeals to me that you capture beauty in what is blah. I particularly like ‘yellow with age’ and ‘bit of red’
Thanks so much 12kilroy.
Not particularly fond of grey days, but you’ve made this one sparkle!
Thanks Debbie. Glad you like.
Those trees are awesome man. You have an art for really picking those great shots, even on a bleh kind of day
Thanks 321irony.
Love the odd highlights of colour
Thanks Igg. 🙂
Your pictures are stunning, and the language you use to express them is equally illustrious which I like a lot.
P.S. Thanks for your visit the other week 🙂
Thanks claidig.

Brilliant shots, I love them, thanks for sharing
Thanks Katy. I am glad you enjoy them.
Not bland at all! I love grey gloomy days, rain…and the gentle light it brings.
Thanks! Agree. :)..
Nothing blah about your photos, Seth!! Love them!! Great photo story post!!
Thanks. 🙂 ..
There is nothing more annoying than a storm who is dark and looming in the distance but when it finally creeps over your house it drizzles and dissipates. It’s like a bad lover! LOL
Ha true! Thanks Jasmine.
I live in California, so it is really great to see actual pictures of weather. Loved some pictures of snow if I can make that request.
If we get any this year. We get less and less each year. Been so warm so far this year.
I guess I should be praying for snow then eh?
Yes but not too much. That’s a pain.
Haha nice
Wonderful pictures! And your description of the flat gray weather with hidden beauty reminds me of winter days here in Seattle =)
Thanks. Love Seattle.
Reblogged this on sunnychance0207.
The first one there is gorgeous; I love how it all looks… deathy. Which is my forte. Therefore I love it, and the others too; you’ve got a real talent!
Thanks stamfordis.
Beautiful. I love the natural monochrome of winter scenes – captured so nicely here….
