Many folks inquire about my cover shot. They want to know where it is located and do I really live in the country. So, I thought I’d share a bit about my country photos and where I live.
I live in Warren County, Ohio. The county I live in is between Cincinnati and Dayton. In fact, it’s one of the fastest growing counties in all of Ohio. Most people around here, including me, work in either Cincinnati or Dayton and commute from home. The county is mostly rural with many farms and crops. There are also quite a bit of horse farms in this area.
All of the photos below were taken on my drive to or from work. I am on backroads the entire commute. It is a lovely area in which to take a drive. And, there are many photo opportunities. Even though I am not from here, I have been here long enough to call it home.

LOVE the second to last one. Would love to have a picnic there or take a book and read under the tree. Even better, go there to write. Pen and paper, the proper way to write.
I agree. I love this tree. It is located in a field just across from our neighborhood.
Oh those are beautiful, lucky you -:)!
Thank you so much. Glad I could share.
Do you enjoy living in Ohio?
Yes, it took a bit of getting use to but it’s grown on me.
Cool. I grew up in Ohio, and miss the little things about it. 🙂
You are so lucky to have that sort of a commute to work. Do you leave early….just in case you have to stop two dozen times to get out and take pictures? 🙂
I am always early. Thanks for your comment.
Great pictures and such a beautiful place to live.
Yes, it is lovely here.

You have a very good eye. Are you color enhancing?
I do on some of the pictures. I generally only do a little bit. It depends on the photo and what I want to achieve.
Wow this place is amazing and really beautiful. Great photos by the way!
Thank you. I am glad you enjoyed. Come back.
Hi Seth,
Many Thanks for your blog visit. I am loving these tranquil scenes around your home area. I am loving the softness of your cover shot and the mailbox with the wildflowers. (Heart).
Drop in anytime at my blog :).
Thanks. The mailbox is one of my favorites.
LOVE these shots! My grandmother lived in Burbank (Wayne County) and I would visit her every summer growing up. It looked a lot like this (I mean…a lot of Ohio), so getting a lil’ nostalgic! Love the third one, especially
Glad I could bring back memories.

Well I wouldnt say that. But it’s nice.
I just love the color in your photos. It’s amazing.
Thank you. I am glad you enjoy the color.
I love the corn photograph and the last one of the tree.
Thanks. I love corn shots.
I can see why you get so many inquiries about your cover shot – it is so dang appealing! 😉 I’ve been browsing through your photos and the one that really speaks to me is actually on this post… has the sun setting on the dirt road. So peaceful! Keep the photos coming 🙂
Thank you. That is just up the street from where I live.
Sweet series.
Thank you. I am glad you enjoy. Hope you will continue to visit.
Your cover shot is stunning, as are your other photos! I grew up in the country, and you see some beautiful scenes if you get off of the main roads!
Yes, I agree. I live on the edge of suburbia. So, I am a close to a big city but very close to the country. I try to take backroads so I can see the farms because I too grew up in the country. (Tennessee)
Parts of the Polish countryside look like this! Nice photos
I would love to visit Poland. It is on my future visits list.
There’s that vibrant color again! Great job!
Thanks. Glad you liked.
I was stationed at Wright-Pat near Dayton in the early 80s when I was active duty USAF. Being a California native, I did not make friends with the weather in Ohio but I loved the countryside (I lived in Fairborn), the fall colors (holy moly! we do not have trees out here where I live that do THAT) and how green it was in the summer. Oh, and fireflies. We don’t have those either.
Yes, there are many wonderful and beautiful things here in Ohio. Although, I have to say, my favorite city in the US is San Diego. So beautiful and the weather is perfect. Thanks for your comment.
Oh and I love the Air Force museum at Wright-Pat.
Your cover photo looks like a Pixar movie! LOVE!
Stunning shots!
These are amazing! I love how you shot the corn, its a perfect mix between sky and corn! All of these are Wonderful!
I’m in Ohio too! North of you, in Miami Co.

You are welcome alvargas250.
Such a fabulous part of the country. My family came from Dayton. Wonderful captures of the area here.
There are some nice places here. 🙂
Beautiful photos! I grew up on a farm in Iowa. I now live in Colorado and enjoy the splendor of the Colorado Rockies. I don’t think I fully appreciated the beauty of rural Iowa until after I moved away. Now when I go back to visit my Dad on his farm, I am really struck by the beauty of the rural landscape!
Thanks linhartb.
