SethSnap is not my first attempt at blogging. I’ve had many blogs over the past several years. My most successful was probably the Hotty Toddy Blog. I am a passionate person and have many things to say. My other blogs fizzled out for various reasons. Usually the reasons had to do with lack of interest or lack of content.
So, why start a new one? Why again? To be honest, I am starting this blog based on advice from several “How to” articles. I am interested in becoming a freelance photographer. So, I set out to get some advice. Most of the “How to be a freelance photographer” articles suggest starting a blog. It’s vital, they say, to blog about your work. I wasn’t aware that blogging was still that popular. Perhaps it’s not. Although, I have to admit, most of the “How to” articles I read were from blogs themselves. So, perhaps it’s just proselytizing. Survive by bringing folks into the fold and having lots of blog babies. I assume it can’t hurt, so I am re-entering the world of bloggers.
What am I going to say? Well, I suspect my blog will be about the many interesting places I find around me, the fascinating lives of people and my process, or adventure, into the world of photography. I’ll blog about tidbits and other interesting things I will hopefully learn. I’ll try to be interesting. Although, interesting is relevant. But, chances are if you are reading this, you are interested in photography, or really really bored,or more than likely, my mama or partner.
So forward SethSnappers. Let’s get this show on the road.
Thanks for liking my BroodCoffeTalk post in WordPress. I look forward to what you have to share with us.
Thanks for the comment and follow. I look forward to reading your blog as well.
Thanks for your visit over on my blog. You’ve got some great photography here, and I ascribe to your drive by photo shoots and the treasure hunt style as well. In fact the community park and tree you show in one post looks similar to my neighborhood……….hey, are you a neighbor?
Thank you for your comments. Yes, I would say we are neighbors. 🙂
Hi, thanks for the like on my blog. Love the doggie photos. 🙂
You are welcome. Thanks for the comment.
Seth
Thanks for visiting my blog. Photography is a hobby and not my day job. Good luck as a freelance. All the best.
Hi Seth – Thanks for popping in, appreciate all visits & likes
I shall scout my way around yours for a while. 🙂 (Love the Akita/Husky?)
Jackson is our Husky. Baylee is a mixed dog we got from the pound. Jackson is a sweetheart. He has converted us to huskies.
Thanks so much for visiting my blog and liking “Lavender”. I look forward to seeing your photography. Please stop by my blog again soon!
You are welcome and I plan on visiting your blog again.
Glad to know I’m no the only one whose blog fizzled out. I’m doing pretty good with this new one though, and I hope to keep it up. I hope yours goes wonderfully too! Best of luck on your photography venture. I’ve been browsing around your blog and site and I like your photos. What i like most about them is they are real. Real life , everyday items that people normally take for granted or ignore. But, your pictures put a spotlight on them for others to stop and notice. Awesome.
Thank you for your comment. I hope both our blogs do well. Yes, I think it’s easy to talk pictures of amazingly beautiful places like the Grand Canyon. However, I like the challenge of finding the beauty in normal things. Thanks again and good luck with your blog.
Bloggo; ergo sum.
If nothing else, it proves we’re not dead!
This is true.
Thanks to visiting my blog it did me happy, I did the same visiting yours, pretty experience, learning of others, greetings
Thanks so much. I too love meeting folks from all over.
Sethsnap, thank you for liking my posting on santa’s birthday
You are welcome. Thanks for visiting my blog.
Thanks for visiting my blog today – and good luck with yours. I really enjoy looking at photographic blogs 🙂
Thank you. I hope you enjoy some of my photos.
Hey Seth, glad you’re still blogging. Yes, blogging is a great way to get your work out there. All sorts of doors opened for me with my photography work JUST because of my blogging. I write an occasional (paying) column on flowers for a website; I’ve had my own photo show for two months last spring and blogging about it resulted in more attendance and sales. I’ve made tons of great like-minded creative friends as a result. One of the best perks is that it hones your writing skills tremendously (if you pay attention and take care to craft each posting, that is). Plus, I feel compelled to research everything that I photograph, so my head is now filled with twice as much extraneous information as before! 😉 Good luck with freelancing and thanks for liking my latest posting.
Thanks. Glad to see that blogging will help in my photography pursuit. I’ve already met a great deal of interesting folks.
Thanks for visiting my blog and liking my post! I’ll be sure to come back here to read more. I think the important thing with blogging is consistency, so I look forward to many more posts from you!
Thanks for your comment. I appreciate it. Hope to see you back again.
Best of luck
Thank you! 🙂
Did you really just start this blog a couple of weeks ago!?! Looks like you are drawing quite the crowd! Excellent job!
Hey, thanks for stopping by. Glad you visited. I look forward to reading your blog as well.
Ciao, Thank you for stopping by my blog, bcs that gave me the opportunity to find out about you! I really enjoy the the way you describe the reasons for your blogging 🙂 and I like your photography bcs like you said ” you clearly can bring out the beauty of ordinary people, things, moments”…..isn’t that what life should be about? Best luck and let’s stay connected.

You are welcome & thanks for your comments. I look forward to hearing more from you.
How many blogs, exactly?
Could be that you’re a glutton for blogishment…
This is my fourth, I think.
You’ve had half as many blogs as Elizabeth Taylor had husbands. In honour of this achievement I’m adding you to my blogroll.
Thanks! 🙂 Hopefully, I wont one day equal Elizabeth Taylor in the number of blogs I’ve had.
Thanks for liking my post on my Lyrics Collage. I too have had a few blogs over the last few years but I am really trying this time (my hubby would tell you I’m VERY trying) to make mine readable and interesting and not lame. Lame is a land I no longer wish to visit! So keep going, I say. 🙂
Thanks for visiting my blog and liking my post on the Beirut explosion. It’s not quite in your line of work!
I really like your blog. The photos are stunning! You should have more self-confidence both in your work and in your blog. They’re both awesome, and judging by the number of your followers and fans, I’m not the only one who thinks so!
I’ll be sure to stop by again for another dose of beautiful pictures.
Thanks Annie. I am glad you stopped by. Come again.
Hi Seth, thanks for the visit to my blog. I don’t actively seek readers and so am always a bit puzzled but tickled when someone finds me. Your writing is a pleasure and since I lived in Dayton a long time ago and it’s nice to revisit this area through your photography. The ‘write your own story’ concept is intriguing too. Best of luck…..I’ll be back.
Thanks Julie. Glad you paid me a return visit. Hope to see you again.
Hi Seth. Thank you for your recent visit and [like] on my blog! It’s great to discover, anew, another photographer. I was mesmerized by the incomparable Miss Leighton; tickled by the full-frontal “mug shot” of that beautiful dog; and shocked that flat landscapes can be so beautiful. Ohio’s got it going on, and I, originally from Michigan, had no idea!
that that beau
Thanks DAB.
Hey there… thanks for the “like” on my post. I really dig your blog. Followed! Have a good one!
Welcome. Thanks for visiting my head!
Seth, thank you for liking my post on Haiku Poetry. I’ll check out your blog now that we’re connected. I’m so jealous of photographers.
Thanks Chuck!
